If your conversation has more messages, it will be printed across multiple books, but a book can also have fewer pages. The book size is 13.5cm by 19cm.

The price of a paper book is €39.99 per book (free shipping in Europe) and €39.99 for the digital format (eBook) with unlimited messages. Each book contains up to 400 pages. If the conversation contains more messages, it will be printed across multiple paper books.

Unfortunately, when there are many messages (a testament to great love), they sometimes can’t all fit into one book. We strive to include as many messages as possible in each book, but when it’s too much, it’s too much. Multiple books may be necessary.

Great news! It’s entirely possible. Just transfer the different iMessage, Android SMS, Messenger, WhatsApp, or Instagram conversations to your account. Then, in the ‘My Conversations’ tab, you will have the option to merge these conversations into one.

Frequently Asked Questions (Specific)

Unfortunately, we have bad news: on some Android phones, WhatsApp limits the export of media to the most recent messages and photos (maximum size 15 MB). It’s as if WhatsApp selectively sorts its media! The current solution to get all the messages is to export without media. However, if you want the complete conversation with media, you can try exporting it from an iPhone. Otherwise, you can also contact WhatsApp in the “help” section of their app to report the issue. Maybe they’ll finally realize they’ve applied the wrong filter!

This problem is well known. Unfortunately, WhatsApp does not provide captions or messages sent with photos during export. We have repeatedly asked WhatsApp to resolve this issue, but we haven’t received a response yet. We share your impatience and thank you for your understanding. The solution remains to manually write them in the .txt file, but this can be a bit time-consuming.

Ah, these error messages can be confusing, right? Sometimes Meta (formerly Facebook) creates incomplete archives. Even if you requested a JSON archive, they might forget to include the message file. To check, open the .zip file, go to the “messages” folder, then “inbox,” and see if you find the message_1.json files in the conversation folder. If no files are present, they were likely omitted. In this case, I recommend requesting the archive again. This usually solves the problem. Also, if you requested it through the app instead of the browser, you might have received the file in HTML format, which isn’t very useful. In this case, you should request it again from a browser to get the JSON format.

No worries, it’s very simple! Follow these steps to manage your .zip files and keep only the conversation you’re interested in:

  1. Download the ZIP Files:

    • Start by downloading all the .zip files provided by Instagram.

  2. Unzip the Files:

    • Use a software like WinRAR or 7-Zip to unzip the files, if not done automatically.

  3. Go to the “messages” Folder:

    • Open the unzipped folder and go to the subfolder named “messages”.

  4. Enter the “inbox” Folder:

    • You’ll see a folder named “inbox” in “messages”. Click to open it.

  5. Find Your Conversation:

    • Look for the folder that corresponds to the conversation you want to keep.

  6. Clean Up:

    • Delete all other conversation folders, keeping only the one you’re interested in.

  7. Check Other ZIP Files:

    • If your conversation is spread across multiple .zip files, repeat steps 2 to 6 for each file, and combine everything into one “inbox” folder.

  8. Recompress Everything:

    • Now that you have what you want, recompress the “messages” folder. It should only contain the folder of your conversation in the “inbox” folder. The .zip file should be much lighter now.

  9. Upload to the Site:

    • Then, go to “Create My Book” and upload your newly compressed .zip file.

iMessages/SMS – I can’t open the Mon Livre SMS software on my Mac

Sometimes, on certain Macs, an error message may appear stating that the software cannot be installed for security reasons. Don’t worry, there’s a solution. Follow these steps:

  1. Right-click or ctrl+click on the software icon and choose “Open”.

  2. Go to “Privacy & Security” settings:

    • Go to “System Preferences” from the Apple menu at the top left of your screen.
    • Select “Security & Privacy,” symbolized by a padlock.

  3. Full Disk Access:

    • Go to the “Privacy” tab and find the “Full Disk Access” option in the list on the left.
    • Click the padlock at the bottom left and enter your password to unlock the settings.
    • Click the little “+” button to add an application to the list of allowed software.
    • In the window that opens, find and select “Mon Livre SMS,” then click “Open”.
    • Make sure the box next to “Mon Livre SMS” is checked, indicating the software has disk access permission.

With these settings, your software should work correctly, and you’ll be ready to transfer your conversation to our site. Are you ready to start?

This kind of message can occur if your backup was done on iCloud or if you made a backup on your computer but it is encrypted. Can you check these settings and let me know?
